
Facilities for Passengers with Special Needs
Cardiff International Airport has an ongoing commitment to passengers requiring special assistance and has been designed to enable smooth and easy passage through all areas.
Please inform your travel agent or airline of any special assistance requirements when booking.
Facilities include:
- Dedicated spaces in the car parks
- A passenger and wheelchair shelter at the special assistance point is available in the short stay car park. Passengers requiring assistance to the main terminal building will be taken via the airport shuttle bus from this point
- Low level kerbs at terminal entrance and exit
- Use of airport wheelchairs throughout terminal building
- Passengers may retain their own wheelchairs up until boarding; please check with your airline
- Lifts between all floors
- Specially designated toilets on the first floor, departure lounge and arrivals hall
- A special assistance waiting area in the departure lounge is
available with low level courtesy phone, flight information
screen and induction loop - Fast-track for wheelchair and special assistance passengers at security central search
- Minicom facility for the deaf or hard of hearing is available at the Information Desk
- Induction loops at check-in and other areas
- Flight information monitors and spoken announcements of all flight related messages
- Telephones of reduced height are available throughout the terminal
- Ambulift for boarding aircraft.
