UK Airport Industry Spotlight on Cardiff
09 November 2004
More than 250 executives from the UK's airport industry will be in Cardiff this week, for the annual conference of the Airport Operators Association (AOA).
TBI plc's Paul Kehoe, Managing Director, London Luton Airport
holds the Chairmanship of the association in this year and it is
the TBI link that brings the conference to Cardiff.
The conference, which runs from the morning of Tuesday (9th
November) through to lunchtime on Wednesday (10th November) was
officially opened by First Minister Mr Rhodri Morgan yesterday at
the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff. The conference itself will take place
in the splendid surroundings of Cardiff's City Hall.
The industry debate will be facilitated by broadcaster and former
Sunday Times Editor, Andrew Neill. Commenting on the conference,
the AOA Chairman and MD of London Luton Airport, Mr Paul Kehoe
said: "TBI is delighted to have the opportunity to bring this
prestigious conference to our home city of Cardiff.
"An impressive programme of 'A' list speakers is lined up from
inside and outside the industry. Delegates will hear and debate
contributions on important subjects ranging from "Financing the
Industry" to "the Environment" and "Innovation", before the debate
is concluded by Charlotte Atkins MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary
of State at the Department of Transport."
Alongside the conference in City Hall, a major exhibition will be
staged with exhibits from all the key airport industry suppliers
and service companies. And whilst business is being done at the
conference, the partners of the delegates will have an opportunity
to see some of the splendid sights Cardiff has to offer as part of
an organised programme.
