Airport congratulates Metrix

Cardiff International Airport today congratulated the Metrix consortium on its successful bid for the UK Armed Forces defence training academy, now to be based three miles from the airport at St. Athan.
Said airport managing director Jon Horne: "The Metrix plan received our wholehearted support as it always made complete sense. Now South Wales will see a substantial economic boost from the thousands of permanent jobs and many thousands of students the academy will generate.
"We look forward to working with the consortium in delivering
not only air access but also the other key elements to make this a
tremendous success for Wales."
