Air Malta extend operations at Cardiff
19 November 2004
Following the success of summer flights from Cardiff to Malta, Air Malta has extended its operation at Cardiff International Airport to feature winter charter flights.
Malta, which was a summer only charter destination, proved that
popular with South Wales and South West passengers that the airline
has decided to continue with the service through to March 2005 with
an Airbus 319 of 141 seats.
Malta, well known for its breathtaking scenery, never ending
sunshine and warm welcome, offers a wide range of activities
including scuba diving, deep sea fishing and is also superb for
exploring on foot. Located in the Mediterranean Sea, Malta has a
variety of quality accommodation available and, with long hot
summers and mild winters, is an ideal holiday destination to visit
any time of the year.
Cardiff International Airport's Sales and Marketing Manager Vincent
Rey explains, "We are delighted that Air Malta is also operating
over the winter period and confident that the programme will be a
great success. Malta is an ideal location for travellers looking
for some sun and somewhere different to visit."
The winter flights will continue to 30 November, start again from
21 December to 4 January and continue from 8 February to 22 March
2005.
