bmibaby introduces extra legroom seats bookable online for just £10
21 April 2005
bmibaby, the award winning airline with tiny fares, has today introduced a new facility on its website - the ability to book extra legroom seats.
The airline, which already allows passengers to allocate
standard seats via bmibaby.com, has enhanced its online offering to give
passengers more choice and comfort for less than other
carriers.
Extra legroom seats can be purchased online for just £10 (€16) per
flight per passenger, £5 less than other airlines. The seats, which
were previously only available to purchase at check-in, can be
secured online for use by able-bodied passengers over 16 years of
age.
David Hodge, bmibaby's marketing director, commented:
"We are always looking for ways to improve our service and, from
the feedback we've received, we know the option of booking extra
legroom seats at the same time as booking flights is something our
customers wanted. This new service is now available for just £10
per flight per passenger. It's a facility that we believe will
prove to be very popular and again reiterates the importance of
booking flights early, not only to secure the best fares but also
to guarantee the best seats."
The facility is available online now. Other enhancements to the
airline's website since it was re-launched last summer include the
ability to order foreign currency, lonely planet travel guides and
a faster booking process, all of which have contributed to bmibaby
becoming one of the most visited airline websites in the
UK.
