bmibaby, the award winning airline with tiny fares, has today (Friday 16th June) launched its winter flights from Cardiff International Airport. The airline will be flying to 10 European destinations throughout the winter (29 October 2006 - 24 March 2007).
The airline has slashed its lowest fares by 18% versus the same period last year and now offers travel throughout the winter from as little as £13.99 one way, including taxes and charges. Additionally customers can take advantage of a special offer of up to 25% off all fares on all routes for flights booked online at bmibaby.com before 20th June 2006.
New routes for the winter include daily flights to Amsterdam and Belfast (International) and twice daily flights to Glasgow (International). The schedule also includes weekend flights to Geneva, serving the Swiss Alps, an ideal destination for keen winter sports enthusiasts and an increase in the frequency of flights to Mediterranean routes throughout the winter.
The airline will operate almost 150 flights throughout the winter to Alicante, Amsterdam, Belfast (International), Edinburgh, Faro, Geneva, Glasgow (International), Malaga, Palma and Prague.
David Hodge, bmibaby's marketing director, said:
"bmibaby has substantially increased the number of flights from
Cardiff International Airport for the winter, offering over 50 more
flights each week compared to last winter. We've added new routes
to Amsterdam, Belfast and Glasgow, giving passengers from Cardiff
more choice than ever before. We have also reintroduced services to
Geneva.
"Our fares are the lowest they've ever been, from £13.99 one way including taxes and charges, and our advice to passengers is to book early to grab the best fares on the dates they want to travel. The traditional ski routes to Geneva for the Swiss Alps and Malaga for Sierra Nevada get booked up very quickly."
Last month bmibaby launched an online check-in facility for all flights departing from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports, enabling passengers to check-in online within 24-hours of their flight's departure.
