The big Christmas Jet-Away

Cardiff International Airport is bracing itself for yet another busy Christmas when more than twenty four thousand passengers from across South Wales and the South West leave Wales to spend Christmas abroad.
From 18 December to 1 January, thousands of holidaymakers will
depart from Cardiff International with Amsterdam, Paris, Prague and
Edinburgh being the most popular city destinations. The winter sun
resorts of Tenerife and the Canary Islesdestination, followed by
Edinburgh, Malaga, and Alicante, Palma and Malta are also in high
demand..
Some passengers will enjoy a Caribbean fly/cruise while others will
be heading for the ski slopes, flying to Geneva, Chambery and d
Innsbruck for a guaranteed white Christmas.
Although Christmas Day will be relatively quiet with one arrival
and one departure to Alicante with Britannia Airways, the days
leading up to, and following, Christmas will be a busy period for
Cardiff International.
Passengers flying out on Christmas Eve will be treated to a 'Fun
Day' in the Departure Lounge, courtesy of tax and duty free shop
operator, Nuance. A food and drink tasting will take place
throughout the day to get people into the Christmas spirit.
