Cardiff Airport gets into the Christmas spirit
09 December 2004
Cardiff International Airport has helped in making Christmas a special occasion for disadvantaged children in South Wales by taking part in the Pocketful of Presents campaign 2004.
Organised by Business in the Community Cymru, staff working for
Cardiff International Airport, Nuance (the travel shopping and duty
free shop situated in the airport) and Air Traffic Control have
between them spent more than £1,000 on Christmas presents for
children in need.
Cardiff International Airport's Sales and Marketing Manager Vincent
Rey explains, "We are delighted to be involved with this campaign
for a third year running.
"It is easy in today's commercialised environment to think of
Christmas as a time for receiving, when actually it is all about
giving."
Children from all over Cardiff, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil,
Blaenau Gwent, Newport and Torfaen will benefit from this
campaign.
