Cardiff Airport Caribbean Sell-Out
18 November 2004
The first in a series of Caribbean Cruise flights departed Cardiff International Airport this week carrying 273 passengers to Barbados where they will visit Antigua, St. Kitts, Tortola, Curacao, Grenada and other sun blessed islands.
Cardiff International Airport's Sales and Marketing Manager
Vincent Rey explains, "The first fly-cruise was operated by
Britannia Airways and Fred Olsen Cruises on their exclusive cruise
ship, the Braemar. The 11-night holiday was well supported by South
Wales and the South West travelling public and sold out some months
back.
"P&O Cruises also have four luxury fly-cruises arranged over
the next three months and will be departing from Cardiff
International on a Boeing 767 carrying 274 passengers. They have
already proved extremely popular and have more or less sold all
their seats."
P&O Cruises, who have also teamed up with Britannia Airways
(which is soon to be re-branded to Tomson Fly.com), offer a
15-night cruise and depart from Cardiff International on Friday 19
November, Friday 10 December, Thursday 30 December and Friday 4
February aboard either the Oceana or Adonia.
Fred Olsen Cruises also have a 15 night fly-cruise organised for 5
January 2006 departing from Cardiff International Airport.
