Tanning World opens at Cardiff International Airport
19 October 2004
Cardiff International Airport are today (Tuesday 19 October) celebrating the official opening of a Tanning World studio situated in the Departure Lounge.
Aimed to provide passengers with a base tan before departing as
not to burn when they sunbathe on holiday, Tanning World is already
proving popular with passengers.
Tanning World Managing Director Debbie Thorne explains, "We've had
a mixed but positive response to this service at Cardiff
International Airport. We are trying to inform people of the
importance of being safe when tanning and work on a base tan before
venturing out into the sun.
"As well as having three stand up and three sun beds in the store,
we also offer manicures, teeth whitening, eye lash tinting and eye
brow waxing to customers. We also sell hair and beauty products and
have relaxation beds for those who want five minutes to themselves
before jetting off."
Cardiff International Airport Sales & Marketing Manager Vincent
Rey adds, "We want to provide our passengers with more choice and a
value added service. With the opening of the business lounge and
now Tanning World, we are looking to offer services that will
appeal a wide range of travellers."
Established for two years, Tanning World already has two stores in
Rhumney and Whitchurch in Cardiff. The cost of using the stand up,
lie down and relaxation beds is £1 a minute and the studio is open
between 6am-10pm every day.
