Cardiff International Airport Consultative Committee
25 April 2005
The Cardiff International Airport Consultative Committee will meet tomorrow (26 April) at 5pm at the airport to discuss issues concerning local communities, travellers and other airport users.
The meeting is open to the public to stimulate interest both
within the airport community and local people. Discussions will
address the concerns and interests of the local population which
will include environmental, economic and commercial issues.
Cardiff International Airport managing director Jon Horne explains,
"The Consultative Committee has been established so that the
management of Cardiff International Airport can understand the
views of interested parties when making decisions concerning
management, operation and development issues.
"This is a positive and interactive process that enables us to understand the concerns of interested parties. It is also a means of keeping all interested parties adequately informed of developments at the airport and matters affecting them and provides an opportunity to consult, should any differences of view arise."
The Committee fulfils the requirements of Section 35 of the
Civil Aviation Act 1982 for the Airport management to provide
adequate facilities for consultation. The Committee is attended by
appropriate members of Cardiff International Airport.
There will be an opportunity for questions or comments following
the formal meeting proceedings. If you are interested in attending,
please register with Catherine Brannigan on 01446 712528 or
