Travel City Direct Staff Celebrate 10th Birthday

The UK's largest independent Florida specialist, Travel City Direct, treated their staff and other important guests to an exclusive flight to Paris yesterday (Monday 16 May) to celebrate the company's 10th birthday.
Swansea-based Travel City Direct, whisked the party to the historic Chateau Montvillargenne for a sumptuous lunch followed by a tour of Disneyland Paris.
The party took off from Cardiff International Airport yesterday morning on the 747-300 series aircraft (517 seats) which arrived at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport around lunch time and returned that evening.
Geoff Medhurst, Travel City Direct's managing director said: "It is due to our fantastic, highly committed professional team that Travel City Direct has grown rapidly and developed into the UK's largest independent tour operator to Florida during the past 10 years. They have enabled us to expand into new programme areas, including USA-wide scheduled services and specialist holidays to Majorca.
"The Paris trip is our small way of thanking all our colleagues and we really hope that they enjoy their day. We would also like to take the opportunity to say thank you to the 1.5 million people who have travelled with Travel City Direct over the last 10 years and helped make us the UK's largest independent Florida specialist."
The 747 jumbo aircraft is fitted with leather seating in all four cabins - Economy (437 seats at 32 inch pitch, which is more generous than most charter airlines); Upper Deck (33 seats at 34 inch pitch); Premium Upper Deck (25 seats at 38 inch pitch) and Sunshine First (22 seats at 50 inch pitch - equivalent to most scheduled airlines' business class).
Following a successful programme in 2004, Travel City Direct's summer programme to Orlando in Florida will operate from Cardiff International Airport from 25th July to 22nd August.
Cardiff International now has the biggest range of long-haul services of any airport West of London and South of Birmingham, serving a total of seven flights to five exotic destinations: Cancun, Toronto, Orlando Sanford, Puerto Plata and Vancouver.
