Airport pioneers low cost parking

Cardiff International Airport is adopting the successful low-cost airline formula to pioneer a low-cost parking initiative, using similar online software.
Just like low-cost airlines, the biggest savings in the airport's innovative Winter Parking Offers - up to 57% - are available by booking online and early.
Parking for a three-day weekend, using the short-stay car-park right in front of the airport terminal building, can be pre-booked online often for less than half-price.
By booking online a fortnight ahead of departure, passengers can reserve 14 days long stay parking from £41.20, saving £37.20 on the cost of just turning up on the day of departure.
The airport's Head of Commercial and Strategic Development, Steve Hodgetts, explained: "Although our parking charges are already among the cheapest of any UK airport, this winter initiative borrows the formula, created by low-cost airlines, to offer parking reductions for passengers who book early and online."
The airport's Winter Parking Offers are available for all dates until the end of April, with the best prices available by booking online through Cardiff International Airport's new website: www.cwlfly.com.
"Just like the cheapest seats on low-cost flights, the number of lowest cost parking spaces is limited, so the best prices will be captured by passengers who book early online", said Mr Hodgetts.
The airport's Winter Parking Offers give early online bookers access to:
. Parking from just £2.73 per day;
. Savings of up to 57% by booking early and online, rather
than just turning up;
. A fixed £14 weekend rate for up to three days parking
(including a Saturday).
