Nuance store scores full marks
30 September 2008
Cardiff International Airport's Tax and Duty Free travel store has been given top marks by its owner The Nuance Group for outstanding performance.
Nuance reviews all its 130 stores' performance by sending a ' mystery shopper' from an independent company to the shops four times every year, grading all staff members on their performance and selling skills.
All UK staff who receive 100% in one of the categories reviewed receive a certificate and bronze pin badge. If they're awarded three 100% scores the badge is upgraded to silver, and gold is awarded if a member of staff gains five 100% scores.
Cardiff International Airport is the only store in the UK that has been granted a silver award, awarded to team leader Kath Bradshaw in August. The Cardiff Airport store is also ranked fifth out of 130 Nuance shops in the world, with an overall score of 85%.
Sara Stevens, Cardiff Airport Nuance's store manager commented: " We're extremely proud of our scores and of all members of staff who have been awarded full marks for their performances. 12 out of 23 employees have received bronze stars, and a number of them were close to receiving silver badges.
"It is a major achievement to attain these fine results, and the commitment and hard work demonstrated by the team on a daily basis is reflected in our high overall score."
